A FIELD GUIDE
A practice, not
a performance.
The point isn’t to become more productive. It’s to become a little more present to the life already happening around you.
LOOK
Notice one thing.
Choose something you usually pass without a second glance: the light on a wall, the rhythm of a crossing signal, the shape of a cloud. Stay with it for ten seconds longer than usual.
NAME
Give it a few words.
Write a sentence, not an essay. Be specific enough that future-you can see what you saw. Leave the polish for another day; the honest detail is the useful part.
RETURN
Follow the thread.
Read your notes once a week. Look for a pattern, a question, or an idea that keeps resurfacing. You don’t have to act on every thought. Some only need a place to land.
